Miura Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, President: Yuji Takahashi), Japan’s leading manufacturer of small once-through boilers, has announced the establishment of a Taiwan Branch as an overseas sales center for its ship machinery.
1. Purpose of the new branch
In 2013, Miura opened a representative office in Taipei for its marine business. The office conducted sales support targeting shipowners and shipyards, as well as marketing Miura’s ballast water management system. Now Miura plans to open a branch in Taipei, Taiwan, as a base for expanding its sales activity with a focus on Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong, and in Southeast Asia including the Philippines.
The new branch will be marketing the ballast water management system launched in October 2014, conventional auxiliary boilers, thermal oil heaters, shipboard incinerators, and fresh water generator, which are used for heating ships’ fuel and cargo, and providing heating and water for shipboard accommodation.
